About the Artist

Hello and welcome! I’m Sara Huerth, a full-time painting artist, located near Madison, Wisconsin surrounded by beautiful lakes, wooded trails, and prairies. I am fascinated and inspired by the magnificence of nature and all the wildlife living in it. I create optimistic art to expand our emotions of love, joy, and peace. Also, with each painting, my goal is to bring nature indoors creating a feeling of connectedness to the wilderness.

I have always been a creative person who loves nature, art, and design. I attained an Associate’s Degree in Interior Design from Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, and then my Bachelors of Fine Art in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin-Stout (UW-Stout). I worked as a florist for a few years creating arrangements that brightened up people's life. Later, I worked as a graphic designer for 9 years. During this time, I was the lead graphic designer for a large manufacturer creating designs that were seen and used worldwide. After this, I decided to make the risky decision to start my own business as an artist entrepreneur....and I'm loving it! I hope to inspire others not only through my art, but to also go for their career passions.

My medium is archival acrylic or oil paint on high-quality canvas. My current focus is modern impressionism using light, color, and texture to reflect nature’s beauty. A consistent goal in my art is to convey a multi-dimensional composition through the raised brush strokes.

I love painting because it is highly imaginative, and I love creating beauty for others and sharing in that joy together. Art has the magical ability to instantly transform a location and effect our emotional well-being. May my art bring a sense of joy and tranquility to your heart. I hope you’ll join me on my creative journey.
